We believe in educating the whole child - the head, heart and hands - thinking, feeling, willing. We're part of the village helping families raise the child. it is not just the day in and day out - we ask you to reflect on how you want to educate? What does the young child's future look like? What impact do you want to make?

We are helping raise the next generation of competent, capable adults.

Our staff members are chosen from a variety of educational backgrounds, ranging from Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) to teachers and specialists in Outdoor Education, depending on their particular role.  Professional development and continued learning is very important to us. Little Lions has embarked on our own training program where our staff members are offered in-house Waldorf training to further enhance their skills.

Little Lions makes every effort to hire RECE staff for all our programs.  Staff with other qualifications are sometimes hired, however, in-service training is a requirement to ensure that non-qualified staff meet our requirements. Staff members receive in-service training by their site supervisor, the CEO, Human Resources, Resource Teachers, local presenters and, on occasion, by visiting Waldorf presenters.

One of these Waldorf presenters and Little Lions mentors describes entering a Waldorf program as:

"coming into such an environment for the new co-worker or new practitioner has been described by some as stepping into a place that feels familiar, that has a quality of welcome. Its is a place where love and trust are integral. this way of being may be new for people who have not experienced a work environment where the quality of humanness comes first."

We believe our employees are our greatest resource. Our community of educators gather in workshops and various opportunities for professional development both for Registered ECE requirements and in line with the Waldorf education path.

As an employee you will have a community of support and resources standing with you, behind you, and beside you.
