Little Lions is committed to re-connecting children and families with nature. Thus, we are in the process of creating a Nature Preschool which will offer the opportunity for young children to spend their summer days totally in an outdoor setting with indoor activities only for the rainiest of days. Keep checking our website for further developments in this area as our plans come to fruition.
This centre has been inspired by Auchlone Children's Centre in Crieff, Scotland. Our Director of Training has been trained in Scotland by Claire Warden of Mindstretchers, the owner of the Auchlone Children's Centre. We are excited to bring this learning to Thunder Bay for the benefit of all child care centres. We hope that our Nature Preschool will eventually serve as a model for other centres.
