The Finlandia Association is a locally elected & run organization that works out of the Finnish Labour Temple on Bay Street. The Hall was built in 1910 by Finnish Immigrants and it now serves as an active, thriving cultural centre for the Finlandia association of Thunder Bay and its member societies. It is home to the internationally renowned “Hoito” restaurant, a Museum and the Bay Street Film Festival among many more events around the year. http://www.thefinlandia.com/

For many years, Little Lions has been able to rent this property in the summer for field trips with our school age program. Children enjoy the forest with its many trails and the creek which is perfect for wading and catching crayfish. In collaboration with the Finlandia Club, Little Lions has future plans to improve the facility and hope that one day we will have children playing outdoors from 7:30 to 5:30 every day in a Nature Preschool.
